So, the water went out yesterday. When my dad went to check on it, he found that the Very Carefully Insulated pipes and whatnots that make up the well pump had had all their insulation chewed up, shredded, and otherwise dismantled. Even the heat cable had been chewed through. Little bastards were probably electrocuted.

It's a good thing I'm pretty, because I won't be getting any prizes for brains. Last night, after having spent way too much time reading, I got into the bathroom and thought "hey, you know what? I hurts... the likelihood of me being able to competently walk tomorrow is fairly negligible. And I'm not actually joking about that. Seriously did a number on my knees. Japanese mountains are not for the weak, the rushed, or the flat-footed. They will kill all of the above happily and with extra roots.
